An 8-week Online Anxiety Relief Group based on Dialectical Behavior Therapy
The Life Worth Living Group is designed to be a safe place for you to find support, relieve anxiety and depression by discovering proven skills of emotion regulation and tolerating distress.
Offered WEEKLY on WEDNESDAY NIGHTS from 7:00-8:30 p.m., this close-knit group will include mindfulness, personal check-in, discussion, homework, and an educational skill component.
You will come away from group feeling you are not alone in your struggle and have the skills necessary to regulate your emotions more effectively and be able to tolerate stressful situations in a calm, accepting manner.
DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) was designed to help people develop skills for better self-awareness, emotional maturity, and stress management It is one of the most empirically researched therapies for people who suffer from emotional dysregulation and relationship difficulties.
The course is taught in a small group format of no more than 12 people.
Open to men and women 18-88.
Allan J. Katz is the author of Experiential Group Therapy Interventions with DBT: A 30-day program for treating addiction and trauma.
Each participant will receive a FREE copy of the book which will provide a guide for discussion and exercises.
A commitment to attend all sessions is required for this closed group.
